Work-Study Opportunities

Immersion University’s curriculum is based on experiential learning. Working with experts on real projects, knowing that your work will be seen by others, and that you have a chance to make some money while making a difference, leads to far more intrinsic motivation and more retention of new knowledge that you will use again and again.

Your initial class assignments and internships will be with established business partners — IEI-TV.net for journalism, marketing and ministry students and The Linghetti Project for language education students. However, later internships can be with organizations in your home city, at other locations that you might prefer, or online with companies of your personal choice.

Immersion University already has a database of 2,000 possible internships, and will grow that database much larger over time. We also have a very advanced approach to allow you to set up your own internships with an offer that the employers would be crazy to reject. It’s always better — whether you are selling yourself or selling a specific product or service — to have an outrageously good offer to initiate the discussion. While a student at Immersion University is expected to graduate in 16 months (a little longer for Ministry students), they are allowed to continue with more work-study internships to sharpen their skills while pursuing employment.
